NEW YORK PREMIERE OF THE ROE EFFECT Â AT THE 2009 URBANWORLD FILM FESTIVAL
The Roe Effect, a short film written and directed by Kiel Adrian Scott, in which I play the lead, Dawn, will have its New York Premiere at the 2009 Urbanworld Film Festival.
The Roe Effect is about Dawn, a uniquely beautiful and strong willed teenage girl, and Sam(antha), her quick witted and charismatic best friend. They are madly in love; but when Dawn falls victim to an unwanted pregnancy a chain of events are set in motion that could reveal a secret so powerful that it could destroy all she holds dear. In this heart wrenching drama Dawn must choose between exposing a painful truth and losing the woman she loves.
Kiel is a gifted storyteller and I'm excited that the Urbanworld audience will get the chance to experience the story that has greatly affected me. Click to view the trailer and a scene from the film.
